Default Walker Muffler

Hold the smarty comments..... Has anyone ran a Walker brand muffler on their 5.0 coyote? If so what was your impression. I need a quiet muffler so was looking at these.
Is therre another brand recommended that will calm down the engine noise better than stock?

a muffler won't really quiet down the engine noise, thats just the natural sound of the 5.0.

Factory muffles are the quietest you are going to get unless it's a performance vehicle. You 'could' go to a local muffler shop and have resonators installed. That would be the only way to quiet it down some...…...

This. Once you start hacking the exhaust system and guessing with random mufflers or resonators, it will be louder than stock. Ford's engineers spec'd the muffler and resonator and designed the system to be a quiet as economically possible. NVH is a big deal to OEM's because soft Americans can't handle a little sound.

Walker is typically an OE replacement part. I’ve used them in the past. They are equal to the original as far as sound.

Could it be some of the piped in engine noise you are hearing?

I had a set of walker Dynomax mufflers put on in a custom dual exhaust set up and I couldn’t be happier. Slightly louder than stock but a nice rumble to remind me that I have a V8. No drone in the cab at all which was critical for me. The entire set up including custom bending for $275 complete.
