Default VIN Tracker madness

Checked 7 VINS's of new inventory that my dealer ordered:

1906 Awaiting Shipment
14049 Awaiting Shipment
8475 Delivering 12/15/14
8474 Awaiting Shipment
4618 In Transit- No delivery date
18947 Supposed to be delivered 12/25/14
27820 In Production Delivery date 1/04/14

8475 and 8474 surely went into the same lot for delivery, but 8475 will be at the dealership by this Monday while the truck made right before it is Awaiting Shipment.

Look at 18947 and 27820?? WTF is that all about?
I guess being one of the first ones to order does not make one bit of difference. This whole process is F--ked up.

VINs seem to get issued in groups to dealerships, but are not built in a sequenced order. For example the 8474 & 8475 VINs that you referenced were built three days apart even though they are for the same dealer.

24024 is headed to my dealer, and was built three weeks before my 15167. I'm sure there's a method to the madness, but I don't understand it.

All I know is... that I better get my truck soon or I may spontaneously combust.

I agree. I have an truck SN xxx1981 it has been in transit twice supposedly and is now back awaiting shipment. I told the dealer Thursday(12-11-14), Monday (12-15-14) by noon I either want a load number or I am going to buy a GM or a Dodge truck. A truck arriving after the end of December is not tax deductible for 2014.
Friday I clicked on the widow sticker on COTUS and it showed up as a black KR and I have a ruby red Lariat ordered.
Nobodies fault, I want Ford to ship a good product. The dealer has been good but I am out of time. I buy trucks every year and order in July so they have plenty of time to arrive before the end of December.

Our dealership has 6 units sitting at the yard in kansas city and the yard here in omaha has around 50 units. Some kind of mystery hold ford wont disclose. Ford isn't giving any eta. Just says its an indefinite hold.

I did too. It's been sitting in a rail yard for 2 weeks waiting on a hauler 90 miles from me now. No one can give me an Eta. I'm sick about it.

I was told as long as the dealer has a vin number, he can sell truck in 2014, even if it won't actually arrive til 2015......

Your dealer can do paper work for 2014. I did the same back a few years. My truck didn't come till January 3rd but signed papers December 30th
