Default Video Input to 2015 Sync 2

All,

I posted this in the FORSCAN thread and in another video thread. Putting it here so it is generally viewable.

I got video to work in park on my 2015. I hooked an RCA video input to pin 34 (+) and 35 (-) of the APIM. I then changed APIM address 7D0-01-01 XXXX *XXX XXXX to 8 per the Forscan spreadsheet (8=Audio & Video & Rotary volume, 1=Audio Only & horizontal volume.) Voila!
Still hoping a Forscan guru will figure out how to make the APIM not see when I shift out of park. I don't want to watch videos. I want to mirror my phone (Waze) on the screen..

So, do you know if all 2015 models have the RCA's in the back of the APIM? I have a Platinum (which also has 360 cameras) and have been considering to remove this screen for a tablet but if this solution is being worked on, then I'll reconsider.

Do you know if there has been any progress on this since then?

He added a rca cable. He tapped it into the pins on the back of the apim.

Right, but I am asking if anyone is still working on it.

I communicated with another person on this forum that also had a 2015 Platinum and he stated that he did not have RCA's on his APIM.

Cool Mod, Im guessing it's not as easy as the older trucks where you can add a switch to trick the deck into thinking that the parking brake was engaged (to be able to use while driving).

Oh, I get what you're saying antho.

Now instead of just tapping into the existing wires, have you (has he) completely disconnected the old video pins 34 (+) and 35 (-) of the APIM and only connected the new video, so there is nothing to interrupt the new video?

I appreciate the responses!

In the '15 F150 the 34 and 35 pins do not exist in the connector you will have to add them.

I would love to know more about this. I’d like a video input in to my 2015 Platinum. I too have the 360 cams. I really just want to be able to mirror/AirPlay my phone screen.
