Default Vibration only when in 4A?

I have a 17 Super Crew 4x4 6.5' bed with about 5K miles.

The truck drives great and very smooth. However, I've put it in 4A while driving straight and it gets a slight vibration. I would expect that in 4H mode....but not 4A.

Is that something I should have checked out, or do all of them exhibit some vibration in 4A mode? It's more noticeable when acceleration from a stop. If I switch back to 2H it becomes smooth again.

Thoughts? Ideas? Normal or it's gonna blow up?

I have a 2016 2.7 and I don't get any vibration like you are describing in 4A.

I would check with the dealer. Expect an answer like "They all do that". And your response will be, "Show me. Let's drive a couple that are sitting on the lot waiting to be sold".

2016 Platinum 3.5 EB 6.5 bed. 8900 miles (weekend driver). When in 4A, vibration is on acceleration between 3-4-5 gears only when engine is at 2000 -2100 RPM. Dealer verified and believes it's from transfer case but the transfer case was checked and is OK. They wrote it up as a concern with no immediate cause/solution. Essentially a watchful waiting scenario right now.

I'll try to get it to the dealership in the next month.

I mostly feel it through my feet on the floorboard, which seems odd. You definitely know it's in 4WD....but I don't think you should be able to feel anything in 4A.

i think 4a activates the front shaft so if there is a problem in the u-joints or with the shaft you would feel it in 4a.

also do any of the posters know if you removed/disconnected your front drive shafts from either the diff. or transfer case ? i

I think I've read on here somewhere about some shafts or u-joints not being properly greased by Ford when new.

And, as Brand asked....you didn't finish your question.
