Suggest to the dealer to inspect/rebalance the driveshaft.

Speed related drivetrain vibration issues are generally related to things that rotate, the driveshaft is a major player that often gets overlooked.

KD2017F150owner

Have you taken a Service advisor with you and confirmed the vibration with him/duplicated it for him?

Easier to just take it to a drive line specialist...Ford will keep telling you that the vibration is "within spec". There are a several possible issues however, just take it to a drive line specialist. Ford kept telling me it was normal...I bought a $100 app for my phone, NVH for Android, and it confirmed that the vibration I was experiencing was caused by the drive line. Took it to a DL specialist, didnt tell them about my finding with the app that I bought, and they nailed it...lol Ford will NOT fix this. You have been warned.

Possible solution . The factory installed U joints are non grease able and have a very tight fit . I have replaced tons of them under warranty knowing full well the unit will return with the same problem , vibration . Solution - install a high quality aftermarket grease able set of u joints making sure they rotate completely free before installing the driveshaft . Ford will not pay for aftermarket parts installed under warranty , Sorry man .

I would replace anything and everything in my truck on my dime if I knew for sure it would work.

At this point I've sunk so much $$$ into my truck, that I just want it to ride as good as it looks. When I traded in my '14 for my '17, I decided that I was finally going to do something to my truck that I had parts on order and appointments booked the week I bought it. I wish I would have waited and actually drove it around first, heh.

I will post this just as a thought.

Different vehicle similar situation---Years ago I purchased a new car. I did not drive it on the freeway before purchasing. The dealer was about 50 miles from my home. After delivery, I drove it home and the shaking on the highway was severe. I took it back to the dealer as soon as I could get turned around and back to the location.

They scheduled a balancing for me. Did that. No difference. Then they rode with me and said something is out of round. We will check the tires. Did that. They replaced two of them. Still did it only slightly better.

After seven months of this I had two sets of new tires and load balancing, etc. I was referred to a special place. No change. Then, they gave up on me. The owner of the dealership told me they had done all they could do. I told them it was not acceptable. I was ready to give up and fight with a lemon law claim. A friend told me about a place in town that was a body shop that specialized in issues like this. I took it there. The tire balancing guy was first up. It was wild. He balanced tires by sight- no machine other than a spinner that turned the wheels on the car fast. He told me to stand back as weights often flew off the tires and showed me all the holes in the aluminum roof!

Amazingly the rear right tire was way off. Another front one was slightly off. He found it right away and showed me the problem. He placed a weight on the wheel and it was smooth as glass after that. So much for computer balancers and all that we did over and over. Something was off enough- axle/wheel, etc that they were not taking into account. I finally got to enjoy the car for the rest of the time I owned it. Sometimes we have challenges like this and have to play it out as an investigator. Dealers can be helpful but only to a point.

Name: Chris
Location:Seattle, WA
Year: 2016
Model: F150, XLT, SuperCrew
Box:6.5'
Engine:5.0 V8
Trans: 6 speed
Vibration start date: since new
Felt at (most): 55-65MPH on power, in all gears

My new truck after I had to lemon the first one due to a transmission has this issue. My dealer refuses to even look at it, stating "its the aggressive tire pattern" on the stock 20" wheels and tires.

I'd be more than happy to install anything aftermarket at this point if it would just fix the issue. Not sure what to do now, and at the end of my rope.
