Vibration issues GROUP thread (Ford complaint) PLEASE READ
I was thinking; there are quite a few of us here that have some sort of unresolved vibration issue on our 2015+ F150s.
I think it would make sense to start one thread (here) that lists all of our info (truck specs, when vibration occurs etc) and nothing more.
I am hoping that we can approach Ford with with a large group of effected truck owners to get this problem resolved...
Feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

2017 F150 Ford Crew Cab pickup has vibration
My brand new 2017 F150 Ford Crew Cab pickup has vibration noticeable in the steering wheel especially at steady highway speeds over 70MPH.
Does anyone know of a resolution to this issue ?
This vibration was evident when pickup was delivered to me from the dealer brand new on 7/26/17.
Resolution efforts to date at dealer :
* Tires were balanced at 53 miles.
* 4 wheel alignment was performed at 236 Miles.
* 3,259 Miles, brought pickup to dealer for service and follow up to continuing vibration issue, dealer has not yet received any “technical service bulletin” resolution suggestions from Ford
Bottomline, Vibration / shimmy still exist on this brand new pick up that cost in excess of $ 50,000.00

Here is an update to
my situation
Complete new rear end will be installed in the next 2-3 weeks. Ford engineer looked at the truck and thats what they have come up with.
Meanwhile now my front struts are apparently shot now. Good thing I bought extended warranty. Struts gone after 71,000 kms??? Crazy
2015 F150 XLT
Supercrew w/6.5 ' box
3.6 Eco
stock except for my 5th wheel hitch.
Vibration began around 45,000 km.
Worst between 70 - 85 kph. Steady throttle, cruising
had drive shaft replaced already. No difference
I owe the dealer a call back. Shop Forman has been on vacation and ive
beem busy working so I can pay for the truck

Some of you guys sure it's not the lane departure warning?
A bent/out of round rim could also easily account for some of these stated issues.

2017 F150 Ford Crew Cab pickup has vibration
Thank you IDrive,
Yes in my opinion you are correct the vibration could have been caused by a number of potential causes such as lane departure warning or a bent/out of round rim.
My dealer was informed of the vibration within minutes of me driving my brand new 2017 F150 off the lot and onto the Interstate Freeway. We scheduled an appointment for the new truck immediately.
The dealership owner and his well trained technical team considered then checked a list of possibilities to resolve the issue, confirming & eliminating 1 potential cause at a time.
In the last aprox 60 days that I have owned the brand new truck, its been professionally confirmed that my vibration is not caused by :
* Lane departure warning ( FYI - Many other F-150 owners on the web also confirm the same, not caused by lane departure )
* A bent or/and out of round rim.
* Tire balance - The tires on my new F150 were taken off, inspected to be brand new and free of imperfections and re-balanced / re-installed at 53 miles.
* Wheel Alignment - 4 wheel alignment was performed at 236 Miles.
To date 10/2/17, my dealer has searched several times and informed me that Ford has not issued any technical service bulletins, customer satisfaction programs or recalls related to what appears to be a common vibration issue with the current model Ford F150's. When I contacted Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center yesterday 10/2/17, FMC Customer Relationship Center stated the same.
When I contacted Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center yesterday 10/2/17, they stated that Ford’s engineering service group must actively address the issue. Once Ford’s engineering service group determines the proper resolution, Ford’s engineering service group is to inform the dealers, the dealers in turn are to fix the issue on the F150's based on the Ford’s engineering service group suggestions.
Bottom line & the problem is, appears the Ford’s engineering service group has not yet addressed the vibration issue.
* NOTE - Its been two (2) plus years since the Ford F150 owners have been complaining about the 2015 through new model year ( 2017 ) F150's vibration. To date, NO technical service bulletins, NO customer satisfaction programs or NO recalls
FYI, Found this Lemon Law Blog link yesterday on the web that mentions the Ford F150 vibration issue :

2017 f150 platinum, 3.5L as loaded as loaded can get.
Bought new, but was owner demo so I got it with about 9,000km.
Vibration since I've had it. Put on new tires and new wheels. Had it road forced balanced. I can feel it starting around 60kmh, it gets the worst i would say around 110-120kmh. For some reason it feels/seems worse the first drive of the day.
I've had it in and out of the dealership since I got it. I love my truck but I hate driving in it. I much prefer driving in my '17 Santa Fe, it feels like such a dream in comparison.
I have Bilstein 5100's on order in hopes that it might make even a slight difference.
It's a beautiful truck but I hate to say I think I miss my '14. I might look somewhere other than Ford in the spring just because the vibration drives me crazy.
