Vibration
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have read the vibration thread but it appears to be different than what i'm dealing with
2016 F150 3.5 eco 4x4 3.31
-42-48 mph
-Road has to be smooth with no bumps or anything that will unload the suspension. Nothing can disrupt the driveline
- Load has to be on the driveline. Either acceleration/holding current speed or deceleration although decel is less
- Vibration is too high of frequency for tires at that speed. Think tire balance vibration at 75
-Vibration is a side to side vibration
-It builds up. As in it will start gradual and build up to a very noticeable vibration.
- Only feel the vibration in the seat and not the steering wheel.
Dealership says they can't duplicate it. Been with 2 techs and they say they feel nothing as everything in my truck shakes back and forth and my change is clinking around. Every passenger that has been in my truck comments on it.
It feels like a imbalance in the driveshaft or a bad pinion angle that hits a certain frequency at that speed and causes the transmission to oscillate. If you've ever pushed on your trans mount they are quite soft.
