Default Door latch concerns

Hello fellow members, thought I would consult the forum before going head to head with a the dealership.

Ok here's the issue:

Truck : 2016 Reg/Shorty

Both passenger and drivers doors do not seem to close easily whats so ever. I can use a more than adequate amount of force to close the door(s) but still they will not latch closed securely. Recently while jumping in my truck I went to close the driver's door and the door would absolutely not latch onto the hook inside the door jam. Its almost like the mechanism is broken within the door?

Thoughts, questions, similar experience? Let me know. Cheers.

My Fire Department just purchased a 2017 and the drivers door latch broke and wouldn't close. (This happened in above freezing temps.) The truck is currently sitting at the dealer with parts on backorder. (300 miles on truck)
There is more going on with these latches than just problems when they are cold.
