Default Very weird message

I was driving down the highway yesterday doing the 65 mph speed limit and had only been on the road an hour when a message popped up on my dash.

Don't recall the exact message but something like "it's time to pull over for a rest"

Anyone ever see that before ?

Sure have, its called "Driver Alert".
as per the owners manual:

Using Driver Alert
Switching the system on and off You may switch the system on or off through the information display by selecting Settings then Driver Assist then Driver Alert in the menu. When activated, the system will monitor your alertness level based upon your driving behavior in relation to the lane markings, and other factors.

Hope this helps.

I have gotten it multiple times. In my case it would be more appropriate if the message said "Stop trying to eat a cheeseburger while you drive", because that's when I tend to get it.

There is a decent sized book that is likely in your glove box that explains things like this. Lots of good info in there.

What's funny is it says "rest suggested", but shows a little picture of a coffee mug. Should I sleep, or chug an espresso?

In some parts of the country, it displays a meth pipe.

I hear there is a forum dedicated to members telling each other to read the manual. You should give it a try.

The coffee icon when telling you to rest is kind of funny. Do they want you to rest or get juiced? Maybe better would be an icon telling you to stop and take a leak. Could even put a little chevy emblem on the commode.

Best to toss the manual and just google it, faster than flipping through the Ford BS pages
