Default Upper Control Arm squeaking?

Hey guys,

Has anyone else had this issue? Squeeks while going over bumps or any shift left to right in the vehicle. I narrowed it down to I believe the UCA bushings. When it squeaks I can feel the vibration through the UCA, but not 100% sure where on the UCA it's coming from. Seems to be the right side bushing.

Is it more of a ring sound going over bumps or speed bumps? I can hear something going slow over bumps. More of the a bell or loose change. I was going into the dealer to figure it out next week.

Squeaky UCA (should) gets the grease.

It's not just bumps. Even stopped I can push on the truck and get the squeek.

The guys in the fox shocks thread brought up a few points on why you shouldn't grease it, such as collecting more dirt

Yah... Bearings, bushings should never be greased for fear of getting dirt on them... they sound and work better with no grease and seize up.

I'm assuming they are stock arms?

You can definitely grease them.

We clean and then grease them all the time with off road suspension.

Another option, a little bit more tedious, is to take it apart and replace the bushings.

Thank you. I wasn't sure, I mean the grease attracting more dirt into the bushing makes sense to me, but I don't think I've ever had a UCA squeak before. The truck has 24K, with a 2.5" level since 20K, the squeak just started happening (that I noticed) about a week ago, do you think the bushing could have gone bad that quick? Is there a specific grease you recommend? Do I need to take the bolt out of it to get the grease in there?
Thank you in advance!

I didn't think the stock uca had a way to be greased unless you drilled and tapped a zerk fitting? If so please shed some light on it please

A vote for getting the undercarriage undercoated with a thin spray that seeps into all the crevices .
