I redid the link's section in my first post and streamlined access to the files needed. I've decided against uploading an image of disk 2 because I don't have time to upload a 13GB file this week.

 

Have any 16/17s with adjustable ambient lighting done this? I'm wondering if either (or both) the 3.2+ format utility or APIM *firmware* upgrade will delete the ambient lighting button since that capability was removed in subsequent models?

 

I think I'm going to risk it and try this on my 2016 that I got from Livnitup installed in my 2015 XLT. Unless someone see this as bad news bears. I poured over the Russian forums and it sounds like there shouldn't be any issues. I am still unclear as to why exactly its recommended to upgrade the APIM firmware if it works find without it. Seems like added risk.

 

So I’m a half-dumbass. What files would I need for a 2016 XLT with Nav? Or should I just download all of them from the Russian site and let the truck pick out the right ones?

 

I see my 2019 Lariat has a map update ready either for download or ordering from Ford.
Anyone know if it in facts update from Gracenote Version 1.1.1.1332? Or Map Version NA1 18?
if so can anyone provide the updated SyncMyRide files?
If there are no great changes I'll leave the system alone.

I am thinking the same thing, I am also worried about the risks of not updating the firmware. Does anything know changes the updated firmware makes?

Is there any advantage of upgrading to 3.4 if you don't have Nav?

Also, is there any way to install the SXM logos on a non Nav APIM? It annoys me that the logos don't show on mine.
