Looks like it goes to the harness APIM connector. I bet it's in 8 for power and 38 for ground. I guess it gets power from the apim instead of the harness.
I did a dry run this morning to see if I wired my pigtail harness correctly. Fired right up. Tested my Rostra back up cam, and it was good also. I haven't tapped the gpsm, and am still waiting on my hub harness, usb cable, and bezel to arrive next week. Seems like everything was functional except bluetooth calls did not come through my speakers. I think it's because I don't have my bezel in yet, at least I hope! Anyway, back to 4" until next week.
The Bluetooth calls should come through without the bezel. Might need a change in forscan. I had this issue in my parents taurus but I can't remember what I changed. I think it might have been the setting for if it has Sony or not.

Well damn! I hope it's something that simple and I didn't mess up a wire. I have pics of the truck it came from. Is there something visual I can look for as a tale tale sign for the sony system?

Yeah use forscan with livinitup spread sheet to see if it's set for Sony. Or find a 302a and check the values you have vs the 302a.

Will do, thanks Luke. It'll be awhile before I get to that unfortunately. I won't have access to my laptop for another month and I don't have the unit that plugs in.
Anyone experienced in making harnesses assist with helping me make a cable adapter so I can connect to a new carplay hub. Basically I need to replace a part on my harness that connects to the hub.
I need a wpt1239 pigtail to be attached to this plug pictured below. This cable plugs into my harness but the grey plug you also see in the picture is the wrong connection for a carplay type hub, so I was told I need a wpt1239 pigtail.
