Default Upgrade to 8" MFT?

So the only thing missing on my truck is the 8" MFT. I have the 4 inch i think it is. I just grabbed this truck as it had everything i wanted but the MFT. I didnt want to order one and wait. Has anyone done this upgrade? I have looked aftermarket and seems pretty dry. Do i only need the bezel, screen and radio? Will it be plug and play? I have a 2015 XLT SCREW.Thanks for any input.

user TF-SYNC can get you Sync3 needs. He is a Vendor here and is great help

Not likely to be worth the cost or effort.

Besides the hardware swap and addition of hardware such as usb cables, sd card reader it would involve programming of the APIM to match your vehicle and also some re-wiring.

You would need the hardware such as the APIM, antenna, etc as well so it wouldn't be plug and play. An APIM isn't cheap. You would also need to have it programmed for your truck, which a dealership wouldn't do. Upgrading to Sync 3 on a 2015 will cost you around $1600-$2000. That's with already having the 8" MFT screen. I imagine the cost would be similar to do what you want.

The APIM is located on the back of the screen?

So I am going to move forward with this. I purchased the screen, bezel, radio and APIM so far. I need the HD antenna and a sd reader from my understanding. I'm sure there is plenty more on the list. Hope it works.
