Updating Sync
I recently purchased a 2016 F150. I noticed on the owners site that Sync V3.0 was available (maybe its been out there a long time, i don't know). The version in my truck was 1.0. I followed the instructions to download the update, inserted the USB into the truck and the screen said it was doing its thing...when it was done, it said it was a success.
First issue, when I tried to upload the file to the owners site which I guess updates the site so it knows what version I am on, the file was not present.
Second and bigger issue, my voice commands no longer work...when I push the sync button, it said voice commands are unavailable. Also, when I make a call, at the end of the call it freezes and it still shows me on the phone yet the call is over...so I cannot go back to radio, cannot disconnect the device, nothing. I can go to other screens, but no other sound functions work. This actually happened twice before the update and is the reason I went in search of an update...but seems worse now.
Anyone else have issues? Is there something I am missing? Will dealer help w/o charging me? Vehicle is no longer under warranty

Dealer likely will not help. How many times have you cycled SYNC on and off? The software is a little rough in some areas and sometimes it takes several on-off cycles before everything works.
