Default Updating sync?

I have a 2017 built in Nov. 2016. Its sync 3 version 2.0. Its my understanding that version 2.2 is out. At work I can get close enough to Wi-Fi to hook up and check for updates. It goes through the check process and updates the time and day of the check, but it doesn't actually update the software. Am I missing some easy step? Would I even see a difference in the newer version?

My 2017 also shows version 2.0 and the Ford Owner site says it's up to date.

Mine works flawlessly so I'm in no hurry to update.

Mine also says up to date. Once in a while I will have a problem hooking up my I-Phone with a cord to run the apps. I thought maybe the update would help.

Even if it showed up on the WiFi, it would take forever. My 2016 didn't show for a long time. It did show the update when I went to owner.ford.com and I downloaded to a USB. I would check there to see if it shows an update. As far as I know, the 2017 doesn't have anything different in the dash where you wouldn't get the update.

I'll stand corrected. Ford Owner site shows 2.3 available for my truck. It has instructions on how to download and install.

I guess I'll be updating mine tonight.

So much for not being in a hurry.

I updated to 2.3 last night. Took about 20 minutes. Looks good to me, I can't tell what was updated.

Updated mine yesterday. Plugged in the thumb drive then went to dinner and shopping. The upload would continue after stopping with no issues.

Although I still can't get the confirmation to work. Same problem when loading 2.2.

My confirmation didn't work either but when I went back to the owner site and checked for updates it showed it had been done.

Haven't done my truck yet to 2.3 (my wife has it out of town), but I did do her new Explorer (she don't know about) and it seemed not to take the update on the Ford owners site, but when I went to look latter it was listed as being done.

Are these updates free? I just bought my 2017 this past Labor Day.
