Ok so I'm attempting to update to 3.0 from 2.3. I first tried via wifi with no success. When connected to my home router it just continues to say scanning for updates. Not sure why my truck should even need to connect to home wifi, since the truck is its own wifi hotspot. But that's neither here nor there. Then tried to download it to computer, so I could install it via USB flash drive. When I login to Ford owners site, it tells me it will send a link to download the update. It's been over 24 hours and guess what? You got it, No link. What the hell? How long does it take to get the link to download this update, does anybody know?

 

that's weird. when i just checked for mine just now its giving me the option to download from the site and not wait for an email. are you sure you are on the right site?? owner.ford.com log in then click support-> then sync software updates and you should be able to just download it from there. that's all i had to do for the 2.3 and 3.0 updates for mine.
