Yeah I didn't have that warm and fuzzy once I seen that. The truck is going back into the shop today.

IMO you did real good checking it out AFTER you got it back. Many people wouldn't have bothered and could have been courting disaster in the future. Real glad you found it, then asked the right questions and now having it taken care of ASAP.

It's a good object lesson to anyone having work done on their truck particularly on the suspension to throughly CHECK OUT the shops work..........

Im no lift expert but that u bolt situation is definitely not ok and really sketchy they could even let a truck leave like that.

So how much lift did they install? A 6 inch lift kit normally gets 4 inches in the rear. Pretty sure they were supposed to take out your stock block.

I had them install 5100's on all four corners with a McGauphys 6.5" lift and cranking the front up an additional 1.75". So I wanted @6" of rear lift to compensate for the increased 8ish of lift up front.

Well, there's our answer folks.

Find a new set of longer u-bolts would be the best suggestion.

Yeah more likely they'll remove the factory block and install some lift shackles making those lift kit u-bolts fit correctly

2 threads...not inches of threads. At any rate those are too short.
