Default Turbo info

Maybe I'm incapable, but I'm having a hard time finding out any details about the turbos that come on the ecoboost f150's. Any info or links would be appreciated.

Thanks, are the 2.7 and the 3.5 using the same turbos? What PSI?

It's kind of amazing how hard it is to find this info. It looks to me from the googling I have done that the 2.7L Turbos have the exhaust manifold as part of the heads, so I do believe they are different turbos. Not sure on boost used though.

I've seen up to 15 or 16 PSI on my 2.7L. I would be surprised if they are the same KO3 on the 3.5 and the 2.7. My 2.7 makes boost instantly so i would think they would be too small for the 3.5L. Also the 2.7L, much like the 2.0L do not have an exhaust manifold, they use a single port head. The 3.5 uses an traditional exhaust manifold.

I tried to google this too and came up with nothing, for the 2.7L that is. I dont think they are the same though? They could be the same frame I guess, but I doubt they are identical. The displacement is too far apartment.

The 3.5v2 (2017+) uses bigger turbos.

edit: BorgWarner is the supplier
