Default Turbo Boost

On the 2017 with the 2.7 is there a way to see the turbo boost? Or do you need to download something?

Forscan can't put the numbers above the boost gauge like it can the temp gauges as of yet. If you want to see actual boost pressure you would need some flavor of OBD reader that can report it.

Do you have the 8†instrument cluster? You can get the turbo gauge in it but doesn’t show actual psi.

No, I have an XL. Cannot change the transmission temp to boost gauge.

From the Ultragauge site: UltraGauge Blue can display roughly 155 standardized OBDII parameters(gauges). However most vehicles support only 30-70 gauges, depending on the vehicle.

Would this enable me to see oil temps, cooling temps, boost psi etc.?

Not sure about oil temp. Not sure if there's a temp sensor for that on the truck. Boost - yes. Plus a bunch of other measured/calculated parameters. You can monitor EGT and lamda, for example.

Hptuners has an oil temp parameter that can be monitored, I'm not 100% sure If it's an actual sensor or an inferred value (iirc F-150's have an oil temp sensor and infer cylinder/head temp) but it can be logged. That gauge should allow you to measure oil temp, oil pressure (actual not the yes/no the gauges display), coolant temp, ambient air temp, manifold temp, etc. While you can log over 30 parameters at a time, it will slow down the update rate for each parameter.

Just a heads up, the exhaust temperatures *are* inferred, so if you're doing anything that you want accurate exhaust readings you'd need to an an EGT sensor and have a seperate way to log it.
