Exactly how necessary is an aftermarket tuner with these upgraded tires? And has anyone ever seen any engine or transmission issues with their truck after years of using one? To me it just seems like it can't be good for the longevity of your vehicle. And also does it void any of your factory warranties? Also how bad will the bigger tires throw my speedometer off?

Sorry for all of the questions, I just need a little overall insight here.
We have not experienced any issues with shortened longevity from our tuning to be honest. With the thousands upon thousands of vehicles we have tuned over the years there would definitely be someone reporting such issues on here if that were the case. I have spoke with OEM engineers and transmission technicians alike that all seem to agree the changes we make to the transmission shifts actually improve longevity. The soft shifts you now feel from factory are actually using the internal components more to smoothly transition from one gear to the next. Having a more positive, precise shift from our tune will actually cause it to spend less time hanging between gears which in turn promotes less component wear.

Obviously if people abuse their vehicles that can shorten the lifespan of the vehicle even stock. So a good tune and treating the vehicle well with regularly scheduled maintenance you should have zero issues with longevity.

I know I'm jumping ahead but I'm curious. The 2017 3.5 ecoboost is a whole new animal with different turbo internals for quicker boost less lag and stronger lower end block, and dual injection. Not to mention the 10spd trans.

1. Will you guys need a local guy to purchase one and you work together with them on development?

2. Does the new trans pose excess development to the extent of delayed roll out of the 17 tune?

3. Do you have a proposed roll out time for said tune?

On a separate note...
Does the hardware have to be constantly plugged in or is it install and unplug?

If it's a constant plug in type have you thought of making the unit slightly better looking? Possibly closer to like the ultra gauge or similar? With possibly similar functionality.... I love my ultra gauge and would hate to give it up.
