Tuners
Lol, yes, I was asking of the box, programer, whatever. Seeing new items makes one wonder and yes, I doubt I would set it on the dash. I rarely use all the stuff Fords packs on the display as it is.
One comment of not doing much for a 5.0 could hold true, especially when I look at the few dyno charts for a stock truck. Not a lot of increase. IF I got a tune i would basically use 93 tow and 87 performance I suppose and for shift points. So have to change back and forth which seems a pain. Omega sounds ok but I don’t get warm
thank you for your replies, exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve had an X4, PDX, two MPV iTunes, and two Ngauges. Long story short the Ngauge is super easy to load and flash tunes with enter data log. It’s also handy if you do wanna watch the parameters, although I only do on one of my trucks.
I was just reading the post about Omega and knock issues and your comments . First time I had heard of that issue, so wondered if its limited?
Je stated it wasn’t knock, but octane fixed it so that left me feeling like trouble was around the corner. That truck was also a pile of garbage that was always in the shop, so it was also a situation of “don’t poke the bear”. Truck’s long gone, couldn’t be happier.
OZ Omegle tune is awesome, something just wasn’t working out with that setup for me.
Thank you everyone for commenting.
Out of 4 tuners I have contacted, only one has continued a conversation of wants/needs. Even then I still wonder If I truly need one as I use it as a truck, in building houses, towing a travel trailer in the mountains. I have only put it in sport mode once out of curiosity lol.
This tuner recommended the STX BDX which is more than I need, but does support cloud downloads as I have a Mac at home. But data logging has to go by email? Or does it?

Fussy buggy constantly needing updates.....I returned a brand new one to 5 star. I strongly suggest Ngauge, MPVI2 or RTD.
for what it’s worth, SCT still has issues with various tables that control various functions on Fords. Mine had an unfixable system control issue and SCT had not yet updated the software. That was the last straw.

I've had my SC Dashpaq for going on 3 years now. I use the 87 tune 99% of the time. This tune make the engine more responsive and resolves any lag issues but, I use the tuner more for the engine systems I can monitor. It's always mounted on the windshield. I also like to do data logging from time to time. Never any issues with it and I update it from time to time. There are a bunch of these types out their and I doubt you could go wrong with most of them.
