Default Tuners

I am sure there are many threads on this but I couldn’t find what I was looking for by searching.
Does anyone have recommendations on tuners and experience with there performance?
Are they worth the $$$?
I have a 2018 3.5L ecoboost and would like to optimize for performance but also be able to improve MPG on highway trips.

Thanks in advance for your insight and advice. Glen

Where did you search? There is endless threads on this subject. On the top right of the screen type Tunes in the search box.

Adjusting cursing speed will help well beyond what any tuner is capable of providing.

Keep your speeds down to the point where you are in 10th gear without lugging and stay out of boost.

Nothing will increase mpg except your right foot. Power takes fuel, it's simple as that.

I’ve used 5 Star, Brew City Boost, SCT Canned, and Gearhead. They all offer performance gains over stock but none have improved gas mileage. That said, set the cruise for 60-65 and you should be alright for long trips. If you travel a lot an adaptive octane tune may be what you are looking for.

great feedback on this thanks. I am less concerned with mileage than performance. How easily can you switch between programs?
sounds like what I am looking for is the ones you mentioned and then switch back to stock for my extended drives. I much prefer 80 than saving a few $$$

5 star... Josh's tunes are fantastic for overall drivability, both engine and trans.... the trans mapping is spot on... I have 55000kms on my 2018 3.5EB and it has been tuned for 50000kms of that.... zero problems....

I run his auto octane tune and the 91 tune....

This is coming from me, I was a PVT Engineer for Ford and a Chassis/Dynamics Engineer for Honda....
