Default Tune upload causes remote start issue

I have a SCT Livewire TS+ and everytime I reprogram my truck (regardless of custom tune, canned tune, or back to stock) the remote start no longer works. I have to disconnect the battery for a few minutes before the remote start will work again.

Anybody else have this problem or have an idea on what's causing it?

Thanks,

Chris

If you have a trouble code I believe the remote start no longer works until you clear it. Not sure if this is the same situation you are experiencing but I hope it helps.

In my experience with the push starts you have to be quick on switching to key off position after loading a tune otherwise you get a trouble code. I also immediately start the truck after to ensure all is good. Never had a problem since, and I've reprogrammed my truck numerous times.

Livernois = Never had an issue of any kind.

Good luck. Seems some of the different tuners out there are having some sort of issue. No, not all. Some. Hope they resolve it for you.

I think that may be my answer. I usually start the tune and then walk away. Could be that I need to wait and turn the ignition off immediately afterward. I'll give it a try next time, however I am extremely happy with the MPT PRX tune, so it probably won't be anytime soon.

Thanks,

Chris

Howdy.

That is precisely yer answer. As a procedural caution and best practice, NEVER leave the flash process unattended. I have a cooler dedicated to this task always at hand

I have not had this issue given the above.

And yep - MPT PRX is Da Bomb !

Good luck

Just a quick update. That was the answer. If I am quick to turn the truck off after the flash is done (when it prompts me to) then it does not cause a problem. The remote start works fine.

Thanks,

Chris

I was having a similar issue with the auto start/stop feature. After each tune the auto system did not function unless I pulled the battery terminals. I was sitting in the truck for each msg prompt.

How quick were you guys to reset your ignition after tune? I feel as if I did it within 2-3 seconds and still the remote start won't go.
