Default Storage question for XL vs XLT.

Hi All,

I was looking through the 2018 brochure for differences between XL and XLT trims. I have a couple of questions.

What is the "Front center underseat storage?"

What is the "60/40 split one-touch flip-up rear seat with underseat storage?"

If I get an XL instead of an XLT are there aftermarket options for both of the above? If it makes a difference, I will be getting the "40/console/40 front bucket seats with flow-through console."

Thanks!

There is a small storage area under the seat bottom if you have the center arm rest that flips up into a seat.

In back if you put the seat bottoms up there is storage bins under them.

Ok, but the center flow through console is the same xl vs xlt?

If I buy an XL, then I can purchase such storage bins aftermarket?

The XLT has the shifter to the left of the cupholders. The XL had a storage bin where the XLT shifter is.

Yes, many underseat storage bins and several write-ups on making your own.

Oh, crap, it looks like I "added" it to your quote above.

That depends on the package. My Chrome Appearance Package XLT has the shifter on the steering column and a storage bin on the left of the cupholders. I would have had to get the Sport Appearance Package for the console shifter. (I loath console shifters.)

"Front center underseat storage". My XL has 40/20/40 seat. The center seat back folds down for arm rest and has phone holder and two cup holders. Fold seat back to sitting position the seat part lifts up with a storage bin under it. About the same size as seat, length and width, and about five inches deep. I can hide a lot of stuff there. Also two more cup holders fold out at floor level no matter seat setting.

Interesting, I think that is the thing that the 2018 brochure is not on XLs...

My truck is an XL. I don't know if seat has anything to do with an appearance package. I don't think so.
