Default Trucks back with new engine

Got my truck back after blowing the engine , apparently it dropped a valve , blew a hole right through the piston . They put a complete new engine in from the factory and runs just like the day I got my truck . I can now enjoy it with the snow finally disappearing and drive it clean . I posted a few pics , its got a 2" level , rear block swap , 33" BFG KO's ( like the size , no power loss ) mud flaps , FX4 flat black decal , platinum grill blacked out , air dam removed , tonneau cover on the way , tinted windows and husky floor mats .

I would like to see bigger pics of the platinum grill blacked out. That's what I plan on doing. That's how the platinums look on Ford's website.

5.0 engine , shut the engine off and went to start 10 min later , wouldn't start . I tried again and it just cranked over , tried a 3rd time and it made one horrific sound and a real bad burning smell , that was it , engine done . The dealer was great , gave me a platinum the whole time I was without the truck and it took 2 weeks to get a complete new engine and replace it . they stuck a camera down # 6 spark plug hole and could see down to the oil pan , said it was likely a valve problem . Ford wanted the engine back to dismantle it .

How many miles did you have on it when that happened?

Temperatures that cold will find the problems in any vehicle-ecoboost or otherwise.

This is impossible some 5.0 owners claimed the 5.0 is a tried and true design although newer than the ecoboost.

Anyways awesome you got it back and aren't bent out of shape over it. Things happen!
