Default Transmission question

Hey all... new to the forum. Just got a 2018 F150 XLT FX4 screw with 5.0. It has 20,200 miles. It was a certified one owner and had dealer history for service (just regular oil changes). I test drove it no problem and have put about 600 miles on it since purchase. Today I noticed that when it shifts from 3rd to 4th I actually felt it shift. What I mean is it's not super smooth like all the other gears. I wouldn't describe it as being a rough or hard shift, just not as smooth as the others. I started googling and found there is a large history of bad transmissions that I was not aware of so now my anxiety is getting the best of me! lol What do you guys think would be the best thing to do? Like I said, it's not as bad as a lot of the horror stories I just read about these 10 speed transmissions but I'm worried about only have 16k miles left on the warranty.

Cool. I didn't know it was covered for the 5/60. Thanks!

How do I find the build date?

it will be on your driver door sticker..should have a month and a year..for example mine is 03/18. If you want the specific date i can run your VIN for you

Says 10/18. So should I just take it to the dealership and ask them to update the flash?

I'll check but I believe you are out of the build dates on that TSB. I'll double check tomorrow

Maybe give it some miles too. The transmission is adapting to your driving style and should smooth out noticeably in a couple thousand miles.

It's been my experience the programming for the 10R80 wasn't as polished for the 5.0 as the 3.5EB (Havn't owned the Gen-2 2.7EB but hear it's pretty well sorted as well). Honestly with the phaser noises, oil consumption and trans smoothness issues on the 307 ci Ive often wondered what happened during development. It's like they delivered them still in development stage. Hopefully they have updated the programming to the point a reflash will make it shift as well as the other applications.

So just ran an errand and really tried to pay attention to the shifts. It skipped 2 every time and went from 3 to 5 about 70% of the time. Normal?
