Default Transmission

I was reading the Carfax report on my recently purchased 2016 KR, 5.0 and see that at only 7500 miles the valve body was replaced.
Also, at 59k the water pump was replaced.

Anyone have any thoughts on the valve body giving up the ghost at only 7500 miles?

Same with the water pump at 59k.

Thoughts?

Not sure about the valve body, but I do know that the 5.0's are known to have water pump failures...

Be happy they are fixed . If I saw repeated returns over an issue, I might worry.

From reading previous forum posts sometimes they replace the valve body for solutions to shifting issues. If it drives well now as one posted early don't worry.

Be glad it failed within warranty and is taken care of. Early failure caught and fixed.
I would only worry if I was multiple water pumps in close succession or a significant amoung of engine work.

Like the others have said, if it was just a one time thing, you're good. My '16 5.0 has been mechanically flawless for just over 76k miles. I have a few other buddies with '14 5.0's at 70k, 80k, and 90k miles... all mechanically perfect as well.

Enjoy your new truck!
