Default Transfer case question

Hello all, need your collective knowledge, because my search has been unfruitful.

When you remove the driveshaft from the transfer case ( the slip yoke), do the transfer case internals are exposed by the resulting opening? From web pictures, I can see the male part of the yoke protruding from the case, but I wonder if there is a seal further down the opening or not.

Thank you !

Nope, no other seal, once drive shaft is removed, the output shaft is exposed all the way to internal case.

If you need to, you can buy various sized plastic plugs, so when you remove the driveshaft, install a plug to prevent fluid from leaking out, and dirt getting in.
