Trailer wiring

Does anyone know if the wiring for the 7 pin trailer wire is still in the harness even though the truck only has the 4 pin? And if so, can a person just hook up a 7 pin connector?

On mine it was. I am actually going to be installing the 7 pin harness and connector today. Will post a few pictures when I do.

Works like a champ. I would say as long as you have all the wires running into the plug you are fine. I will post a full write up when I get back to my house and can get on the computer tonight.
