If you have trouble getting the trailer BLIS to work after following all the instructions in the manual and watching all the Ford videos in vain, -- go to settings -- then advanced settings -- then arrow up not over for the BLIS trailer menu to turn it on. Now it will work when you set a trailer up. This was very frustrating until I think I found the answer someplace here.

 

Yes, I have been unable to get Trailer BLIS to work, albeit have only pulled my little 5x8 flatbed. The Pro Backup Assist works brilliantly. Won't have a chance to verify this anytime soon but have noted it for future reference. Thank you.

 

Yep, I also asked myself why the hell trailer BLIS didn't work when the box was checked, when I was pulling a U-Haul 5x8 trailer. Turns out you need to set up a trailer, as noted. And yes, it was a PITA. Ha ha. Then tried to erase it and couldn't figure out how. Complicated techonolgy. Ha ha. But at least it works after doing that... unless the trailer is too big. That's probably why they want trailer info first, but if it didn't work, we could just turn it off. Oh well. Ford likes to make life more complicated for owners, I guess .

 

mine works good now that I found the secret box to check under advanced settings. Like finding a secret Easter egg.
