Am I the only one out there or are there others who think that system this is the most useless bit of kit ever put on any vehicle? IMHO If you need this to back up you have no business pulling a trailer.

I didn't know what the darn system was when I ordered the truck and tow package. And on a side bar how can you offer a tow package and not include heated mirrors so you can see behind you?

I agree! That tow command is worthless. Max tow PKG should also include the tow mirrors.

Played with....never got it setup....came with my package....along with the big mirrors....

Complaining about TBA makes as much sense as complaining about the Trailer Brake Controller being in your Tow Package, when all you tow are boat trailers with no electric brakes.

Just because you don't use it does not mean that other people won't also.

Youre comparing apples and oranges. Trailer controller and trailer brakes are a functional part of your trailer, whether it comes in factory form, or aftermarket. Are you insinuating that someone ride on the trailer and flinstone it for braking power? Come on man, you can do better.

With all that said, I have to disagree with the OP on this one. I love the feature, though I will choose to be a man and never use it. However, it needs to be on every truck that ford makes now, as it makes for great videos and laughs when Im waiting to get the boat back on the trailer. Nothing is more entertaining waiting at the ramp than watching idiots in new f150's try and figure out how to use the trailer assist with their head hanging out of the window. Whats even better, is idiots in chevies try and back down the old fashioned way. The dodges, they just end up in the water, at the bottom of the ramp.

I will disagree with the OP on this as well. I do think that backing up a trailer manually is a skill that everyone should have.....but I love my backup assist.

Fair enough. Generally I never give it any thought but this morning my mirrors were covered in freezing rain and no heated mirrors. Broke a mirror clearing the but got the backup **** with the package lol.
