Default Traction control sucks

Well me and couple buds went out wheelin tonite, just snowed 12" or so, good 3 foot drifts out on the prairie trails, all of us have at the smallest 6" lifts and 35"s, anyways this is the first time I've had this 15 out wheelin and by the time I got done I've never been so pissed at a pickup in my life. As soon as I get some rpm to build, about 3k or so, the stupid traction control kicks in and totally cuts me off and I lose all momentum and power. I had both traction and advance trac shut off, and in 4 lo or 4 hi it would still cut out. I thought I read that in 4 lo it would let me play, and go wide open throttle, Not even close. It's a miracle I didn't get stuck. They are taking this crap to far, I came from an 05 150 with 4.56 gears 37s and an 8" lift and I could put it to the boards all night long with no t/c to screw me over. This really pisses me off. Is there something I am doing wrong, does the thing have to be in sport mode or something? If I can't change this , this thing will likely be up for sale

Double tap traction control will put advance trac in sport mode. Then select sport mode on the shifter by pressing button on side twice. Enjoy.

Owners manual probably explains it all in detail.

il give that a shot tomorow, thanks. Owners manual plainly states 4 lo will deactivate everything, that is a blatant lie.

May take it back to dealer. Mine on my 2010 disables everything. Even in 2wd, a press and hold drops everything and I can go to town!

Il go play tomorow a bit and let you guys know what I find, I just read another guy said if you deactivate everything while the pickup is in 2wd, which I did, you have to deactivate it all again when you lock it in 4 wheel. Well I'm not sure if I did that but I don't feel like going to find out at midnight lol. Thanks for the responses guys

Hope you get it sorted, I know how frustrated I was at first. Then I found out how it all worked and then it was great with no issues!
