Judging from what I have been seeing here they have been going into production 7-8 days before they are built. My original build date was 3/4,the day before yours, when it went into production I called my salesman to confirm the build date to see if anything had changed. He told me the build date was now 2/27. I made sure he had the right vin to confirm we were talking about the same truck lol. The window sticker became viewable 2 days later....didnt know about the blend date meaning before I saw it mentioned here.

Maybe mine was moved up because a like vehicle got cancelled? Maybe they build in some delay in case of potential production line problems or parts availability issues and move up the schedule if they arent needed? Who knows? My salesman told me when the original build date was assigned that they were pretty much set in stone so not sure why mine was moved up.

As a side note my build date is exactly 10 weeks from the day I ordered it at the dealership (12/19). I added sync connect right before New Years dont know if that pushed me back or not. Vehicle didnt show up on cotus and a vin # assigned until 1/15. Obviously some of the delay was due to the holiday shutdown.

I saw a post on a Raptor forum about ordering a truck and dealer allocation etc. Apparently a smaller dealership in the country gets customer orders pulled immediately regardless of allocation while a customer order at a city dealership has to go through the normal allocation procedure. So orders from smaller dealers will get into the system faster then big city dealerships.

That's interesting. Mine is from a small fairly rural dealer (their stock is about 1/4 of a bigger dealer in Albany NY) and the VIN/estimated delivery date was in COTUS immediately. Dealer called maybe 2 weeks after that with the build date info--don't know if they had it a little before then or if he just checks occasionally and called me when he happened to see it. My build date is 5 weeks from my order date. Delivery looks to be 3-4 past that right now (COTUS shows about 3 weeks past, my dealer says they're showing the following week).

I'm actually hoping it shows up around the 3rd or 4th of April so I know if they release new incentives. Otherwise, the dealer's (and my) plan is to have me take delivery then anyway in case the incentives end up being lower. It'd be a worse wait to know it's sitting in the back of their lot somewhere! Even incentives aside, I want to be April 1st or later because then I'm not paying an entire month's excise tax (high on a brand new truck!) for a couple days of ownership.

See if someone else had this happen to their truck.

Ordered a truck on 2-3, about two weeks later it showed up on COTUS with an estimated delivery date of 4-4 I believe. Two days ago I was on the site and noticed that the estimated day was now gone and it no longer had the count down to delivery.

I figured it is not a good sign nor the end of the world but was curious if anyone else had this type of thing happen to their build.

It is highly doubtful this late in the model year that incentives will go DOWN. Most likely they will stay the same or get better. If it is that close I would wait for new incentives to see what they are. You are already locked into the current ones so waiting wont hurt you. The incentives when I ordered mine amounted to $3k that program ended 1/2. Current incentives would be up to $3800 so mine will get better. If I were within a week of the new programs being released I would wait and see where they go.

Interesting. Mine is also a Lariat being produced in KC. Was yours still in order processing or did it progress on the blue scale?

Don’t get too upset over any changes on COTUS. Several folks have experienced changing delivery dates, disappearing dates, etc. The site doesn’t seem to update on a timely basis sometimes either.
