Default TPMS Malfunction

The weather got much colder here yesterday. I had a low tire pressure light for left front tire come on when I drove it last night. It read 27 and the rest read 29. Reset all pressures this morning to 35, and drove for several miles, but low pressure light still on for left front even though it reads same as others. Would going through the reset process help (really not in the mood to go out in the rain for that) or could it be a bad TPMS?

Is it still cold there. I have had problems with sensors not reading when cold. My motorcycle is particularly bad about that, anything under 55 and they won't read until they warm up.

Still cold (54) compared to what it was last several days. Don't have that issue on my bike, reads correct all the time.

Are they oem sensors? I have aftermarket ones, I have wheels and 35s on my truck, and after about 25 minutes of driving my front left always kicks out on me, once I get back home and the truck sits off for a while, close to the original wheels and tires it resets, it kicks out again after 25 minutes of driving, I haven't been able to figure it out yet, I know these trucks don't like aftermarket sensors, it the other 3 work without issue.

Sounds like the left front sensor is bad,,, and truck is reading the original wheel from the left front.

If it's reading the correct pressure I would drive it a few days and see if it will reset itself..

If it does update us please..

When mine go bad I get a -- reading..

Aired those suckers up to 40 psi, drove about 20 miles and they reset themselves. Reset pressures to 35 psi and all is good.

If there was a system issue the TPMS light would flash. Sounds like just low air pressure. It's that time of year for us all to be annoyed with low air pressure.

I've swapped the sensor already once to another new one with no change, I'd imagine it's something with the software in the truck, will look into it more in the future I guess.

You hadn't driven far enough the first time, it wasn't the 40 psi.
