i have a 2016 F150 ecoboost, I just towed my RV last weekend and now the trailer option screen always comes up. Anyone know how to have this not come up 1st?

Go to trailer setup screen and choose no active trailer

Maybe everyone who thinks it is stupid that we should have to tell the computer the trailer is no longer there should call Ford customer service and tell them. My '11 F150 was smart enough to know when the trailer disconnected. Why can't this one do the same?

That was a nice safety feature: if the umbilical cord should fall out, you knew instantly.

Sorry for the hijack, sweet.

Mine knows when it's unhooked. It tells me, like I didn't already know. I'm the one that unhooked it.

My 2016 knows if it's plugged in or not.

It is a nice feature to know when a light is out on the trailer. I was wondering why it had stayed on the trailer screen. I'll have to see if I can disable the screen when I get in my truck next month.

That's just one of the things I bitched about when I called the other day! To much crap to change and customize for a trailer but they won't let you permanently deactivate the auto start stop feature

Ford must achieve an average mpg for the CAFE standard. The 2.7L mileage is obviously part of that and Ford must maintain that high mpg with the auto stop/start to comply with CAFE.

They can't permanently disable it as it would change their CAFE average. You can temporarily change it just like many car can temporarily change the way the transmission shifts by using Sport Mode.
