WHAT DOES A "TOWING PACKAGE" option consist of on the current truck ?
Is it the regular Trailer Tow Package? If so 4 pin and 7 pin wiring harness,Class IV trailer hitch receiver,Smart Trailer Tow Connector, upgraded front stabilizer bar and trailer hookup lamp!!This info is from the 2020 F-150 Sales Brochure!!
This post should have everything that you are trying to find. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/tow-p...erence-468565/
In addition, page 38 and 39 of the attachment explains everything. Option 53A is the towing package, 53B is NOT a towing package, but it does include a class IV hitch, 53C is the Max Trailer Towing Package. If you do not see an option on the window sticker titled Max Trailer Towing Package or Trailer Towing Package, the truck DOES NOT have a towing package (i.e. Medium Towing Package, Option 53B, or just a hitch is not a towing package despite what a salesman may tell you).
Thanks to mikedj for posting the link to the ordering guide.

does anyone have an F150 without a tow hitch? I bet not. I believe the engineers have made tow hitches part of the bumper system.
Yes!
CLASS IV TRAILER HITCH (53B): Availability:
• Optional on XL Base and Mid, XLT Base
• Included in XLT Mid and Luxury
• Standard on Lariat, King Ranch®, Platinum and Limited
Not available with: • 2.7L V6 EcoBoost® Payload Pkg. (622)
F150's start off with a fixed drawbar hitch. What some of us refer to as the hole in the bumper. The tow packages can add a receiver hitch, which permits the use of accessories other than tow *****.
Yes, all F150's come with tow hitches, even if you don't have 53A, B, or C.

actually my 2019 f150 xl stx did not come with a hitch.
Also on first towing option is included larger front sway bar and transmission cooler. At least this was what was for XLT trailer hitch option #1 including what else was mentioned above...

Look under your rear bumper. If there is a 1" hole in the step plate, you have a tow hitch. I'd be extremely ridiculously surprised to find they make non-receiver center sections both with and without a hole in that plate. Here is the only 'non-tow' bumper listed for 2019, with the hole for a tow ball pointed out. As I stated, this is still a hitch... a fixed drawbar hitch.
Some do not come with a reciever hitch, but all have a hitch in the bumper. Trucks without the class 4 hitch will have a 4 prong plug.
As far as "trailer tow package 53A" versus "class IV hitch 53B", now theres not that much funtional difference. Not on a 2.7L truck anyways. The biggest difference and what your paying for on trailer tow package is pro backup assist.
