You can get Max Tow Package without the rims, but you will not get the Max GCWR. GCWR is
less w/o the rims. (Probably get the HPP frame with 20-in rims and max tow)
From Order guide:
"Max GCWR/Max Tow only achieved on SuperCrew® equipped
with 20” Wheels. These trucks will also come equipped with max springs, steering gear and upgraded stabilizer bar for this configuration."

And, for what it's worth, I do have the HPP frame with my 18" rims.
I acknowledge that I don't have Max GCWR.

Hi. Old lady here, new to the Forum and new to Ford trucks - LOL. My husband & I bought our first truck a few months ago with intentions to buy a travel trailer for our retirement. I've been reading as much as I can about towing, hitches, tow capacity, etc. We want to make sure we & others are safe while travelling.
We have 2015 F150, 4x4, supercrew 145" WB, 5.5' bed, 3.5L ecoboost, 6 speed, 3.55 axle, 18" wheels (just put on E rated tires), GVWR 7000 lbs, cargo capacity 1756 lbs. Window sticker says Max Tow Package and integrated trailer brake. What features indicate it has Max tow package as opposed to just Tow package?
I have read the Ford Fleet info on towing but not really sure where we fall in all the numbers. For the three tow packages you listed, how do I know if we have 53A, B or C?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Thanks for the link! I have this one.
We did end up buying a used travel trailer - larger than I was planning on, but the price was right & it's in excellent shape. It's a 2011 Keystone Sprinter, 26RBS, UVW 6400 lbs, GVWR 9400 lbs., cargo capacity 3,000 (I do not intend to put that much junk in it!), about 30' end to end. We do have a weight distributing hitch with sway bar. We bought it late in the fall & we're planning our first trip mid-May.

I think any full sized pickup should have a hitch receiver, 7 pin, and brake controller.
My "wimpy", lightest of light duty truck came with receiver and 7/4 pin connector. It is rated for 5k pounds towing.

FocusST, I purchased a 2019 STX 2.7l and plan on towing a 3500lb travel trailer. The issue I found was finding the 2.7l with the 36gallon tank, there are very few on the lot in the Eastern states... I ended up purchasing the truck and adding the tank (salvage yd) and brake controller myself. If your going to tow, you have to have the larger tank.
If I was to do it again, I would order the truck. At the time I did not realize I could order the truck and still get all the discounts. I was purchasing close to the end of 2019, so the discounts were pretty high, but I could have still ordered...
