This is not true. Without at least the Tow Package, the limit is 5,000 lbs. See "Required Equipment - For trailers over 5,000 pounds – Trailer Tow Package or Max Trailer Tow Package":

This is exactly the problem I ran into when I was researching before buying my 2019 5.0. The 2.7 does not have a lot of payload. In order to get the payload package with the 2.7, you will almost certainly have to order the truck. You won't find one on a dealer's lot. I even called Ford and asked if they could locate one, and they told me there wasn't a single one in my entire state.

I think I also read somewhere on ford site you can’t get maximum tow capacity with 20” wheels.

It's the other way around. To get maximum capacity with the Max Tow Package, 20" wheels are required. See the footnote under "Conventional Towing".

EDIT: This seems to be true only for the SuperCrew. "NOTE: Max GCWR/Max Tow only achieved on SuperCrew® equipped with 20” Wheels. These trucks will also come equipped with max springs, steering gear and upgraded stabilizer bar for this configuration"

How likely is it that my truck has the tow package without it being on the window sticker?
I have a 2018 F150 with 2.7 and per the door sticker I have the 12,800 GCWR. per table this is a 7,600 lbs tow rating.
The only towing item on the sticker is class iv trailer hitch.
I have the 3.55 locking axle, 7-Wire Harness & 4-/7-Pin Connector, and the Smart Trailer Tow Connector settings are in my cluster menu. I have no way to verify the upgraded radiator or fans.
I had to add the brake controller but it was activated and works fine.
I have only towed ~5000 lbs but it seemed fine.

Does anything in the below indicate that I can't tow the 7,600 lbs?

Where do you see GCWR listed on the door sticker? I've never seen it on a door sticker.

The "CLASS IV TRAILER HITCH" on that list shows that you do not have the required tow package for more than 5,000 lbs. There are three "tow" packages; 53A "Trailer Tow Package", 53B "Class IV Hitch", and 53C "Max Trailer Tow Package". The words I have in quotes are how they are listed on the window stickers. To tow over 5,000 lbs., you need either "Trailer Tow Package" or "Max Trailer Tow Package"

The GCWR is on the door sticker. I can't get a pic right now as the truck is not with me till tonight.
I am just wondering why I have some items from a package but not all of them if the package isn't installed? Did someone on the assembly line just install the 7 pin connector because it was the one in their hand at the time? I guess I'll never know.

Per this I seem to have most, if not all the 53B items listed

Also, when I had the dealer add the trailer brake control, the mechanic looked in the fusebox under the hood and told me that they could add it and it has the fuse that comes with the towing package.
Maybe ford was giving them away that week.
