Tow Mode

when I hook up my boat trailer center stack shows display that trailer is connected and backup warning disengaged but does not switch transmission to tow/haul mode. Is this a manual function each time or should Transmission automatically be changed to tow? Defaults back to auto stop if truck turned off but trailer still connected.

You must turn it on manually. See your manual for a complete explanation of what it does.

You also need to setup your trailer profile.

Yep, manual process when the vehicle is started each time. Just a click of the switch and you are ready to go.
