Default Touchscreen not working after sync update

I'm sure I'll probably get hammered because there's a thread about this already but I've tried searching from my phone and I'm not finding anything. I just updated to the latest sync in my f-150. Now once it came back up my touchscreen is all out of whack. Whatever I touch is the opposite side of the screen. I was able to get to the master sync reset somehow (of course after changing my language to French), but it still didn't fix it. I tried online chatting with ford sync help and all they could tell me was to take it to the dealership. So now my screen still doesn't work, my phone won't sync, and everything is in French. Anybody else had this issue?

When we update them at the dealer we do a touch screen calibration after were done updating the system. Have you disconnect the battery for a while and see when I think gets you.

Access diagnostics by pressing and holding the CD eject button and then SEEK UP at same time for about 3-5 seconds. The vertical and horizontal screen axis sound like they are inverted but will be corrected with a calibration. If the touchscreen axis are inverted pressing EXIT first and then VCA DIAGNOSTICS if EXIT doesn’t switch it to the next menu. The select GPS INFORMATION and this will enter you into the touchscreen calibration.

Did you try what I suggested? Could have saved yourself a trip.

I did not try it, but they said there was a problem with the download itself. They ended up having to reinstall it anyways. Thanks for the info though!

Dealership did an update in attempt to fix camera and did not fix camera but also messed up my touchscreen the option I choose are not the screens it goes to for example choosing radio the screen goes to climate control and now I have taken to 2 different places that can’t figure it out and says it needs APIM which my screen was perfectly fine before they messed with it any ideas?

Touchscreen Calibration: press and hold the CD eject button and then SEEK UP at same time for about 5-10 seconds. This will put the unit into diagnostics mode and it does a speaker test. After the speaker test is complete a menu will show up. Now press and hold the seek down button until the calibration screen appears. After following the instructions for calibration, press anywhere on the screen to exit. It is now calibrated properly and you may exit back to the main screen.
