Default Torn Engine Bay Splash/Wind Deflector

At the bottom of the radiator there's a thin rubber wind or splash deflector that runs horizontal. Mine has tore at the holes where the push plugs hold it to the inside-top of the bumper so it now hangs down and seems to not do the aero or splash job it was meant to.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did you just take it off?

There was one thread on this few weeks ago. Thought was to direct air thru rad and coolers.
Mines torn to. Poor material. We planned on using old one for template after finding better material. Maybe same stuff used for front wheel splash shields.

Ford decided that one push pin would hold it against an 80 mph headwind. They all tear. I don't know when mines tore but the truck was about 4 months old when I noticed. I put it back and it tore again. Dealer put it back and it tore again. I don't even bother with it any more. Doesn't seem to hurt anything and engine cooling is just fine even in gulf south heat and humidity.
