Default Tool box options

So my truck is still bone stock as of now. But I'm looking at getting a decent tool box for it soon. I would like to spend around $300 or so, and want a chrome diamond plate crossover single lid. There are so many options out there I feel a bit overwhelmed just looking! What's everyone recommend? Can the box be mounted using J hooks or clamps like on older trucks? I have only ever had one tool box on a truck. It was a UWS low profile I had on my 96 Dodge Ram regular cab short box, and that box was awesome! I'm not sure of any of the other brands, though. Pics welcome of course!

I am only familiar with Weather Guard boxes. They have performed very well for me but they are not by any means inexpensive.

Highway products all the way. Best box I have seen but it's going to cost you more than $300.

I love my Delta Pro I had on my last truck! I work a box hard and it held up just fine!

I have heard good things about Delta and Weatherguard both. Weatherguard is definitely too pricey for my needs though . I really only want a tool box for carrying supplies I don't want in the cab such as sockets, bulbs, blankets, fluids, etc. The Delta Champion looks like a good option. I found one for around $400, 70" crossover single lid in polished diamond plate. I can deal with that price for a quality box. I plan to keep this truck until the wheels fall off, so the box has got to last! There are a few from DeeZee in my range as well, but I've heard bad things about their boxes, mostly that they dent easily and are made of shoddy aluminum.

The Highway products ones look awesome! A built in bottle opener under the lid?! How did they know I like to drink heavily near my truck!? They too look to be too expensive, though.

Edit: Also stumbled onto a Lund Contender on Autoanything.com for $420. Are those any good?

RKI ones look nice too, but they are still way too much. I'm gonna go check out some of the local box stores to see what their house brand boxes look like. There are quite a few stores nearby, including a Tractor Supply as well. I like the looks of the Husky and Crafstman boxes, and they're in my price range. Plus it's nice to deal locally in case something goes wrong and I need to return the box. I might end up buying one if they look decent enough.

I have a Husky low profile and can't say enough good things about it. Bought at a local Home Depot and paid 56.00 !!! don't know why it was priced that low, but i bought it in about 10 seconds!

Is this the one you got? That of course now costs $300.00.
