Default Is this too much rust to worry about?

I’m looking to buy this 2017 and was wondering if this is doable with a wire brush and some paint. Or if this is too much to cause for concern. Thanks in advance for any knowledg

From what I can see, it looks mostly like surface rust. I've used POR-15 after just scraping the loose stuff and dirt off.

That’s just surface and not structural. I would coat with black woolwax. Directly over the rust. It’ll protect and stop any further spread.

That looks normal for a 2017 that has never been undercoated and likely infrequently washed.

Lol...I'm Canadian and my truck doesn't look like that at all!!

I'd say the northeast US has the most road salt and most rusted under carriage trucks.

I wouldn't be so concerned about that excessive surface rust, I'd be more concerned with every fitting and electrical connection that is exposed as well.

Run away... That's a truck that's never been washed and abused most likely...
there is more rust on the inside you can't see and can't cure

Ack, advanced and significant rot...permanent damage done already. Have a professional take care of that ASAP and then Ziebart or equivalent.

My 2011 didn't have nearly that much rust on it when I sold it almost 9 years later.
