Tire Recommendations?
Hey all,
First post here and have really enjoyed the site! There is so much good information...
I recently traded in my BMW for a 2015 F-150 Platinum (magnetic) and am now looking for some more aggressive all terrain tires 285/55x20. After reading all the great things about BFG KO2's I thought it was a done deal.
However when going to Discount Tires, they said those size KO2s aren't available until September of this year. I don't want to wait that long so though I would get your feedback on alternative tires.
Size: 285/55x20; don't really want to do a lift kit so that may rule some options out.
Requirements: Aggressive all-terrain but quiet ride on highway.
Thanks in advance!

I've been driving around on a set of Falken Rocky Mountain tires and they have been doing pretty good. No idea if they make one for 20" and I've never driven a set of KO2's so have nothing to compare.

Can't comment on many other brands but I'm sold on my K02's !!!…great reviews, quiet, look great, handle great. I didn't see your size (285/55/20) anywhere on their site, but 275/60/20 which are 33" will fit fine and look great without a level.
No I have 275/65/20's on mine now, but my winters are 33's and no issues without a level. As long as your running factory wheels or aftermarket wheels with offsets similar to factory wheels, you'll be fine
Another user has the same 65s on factory 20s and reported no rubbing whatsoever.

[QUOTE=APACHE;4206328]Thanks guys for the ideas/feedback! I may just go with the 275/60/20 KO2s.
I was in your shoes and am going with 275/65/20 BFG KO2's. Installing them on Friday. Just my $.02 but my advice is to go with the 60's. I was tempted as well with the 275/65/20's because of a lot of folks saying they had no rubbing issues but I have gone one size too big on a truck in the past and it sux. Just like 4js8wh said, under normal driving conditions it may be fine but hit a good hole or even some sloped driveways while you are turning or try to go off road at all and you WILL rub and all you will think about from then on is to how to be careful enough to not make it happen again or buy the smaller tires you should have bought in the first place. That is a horrible situation and I didn't want to risk it again for the extra inch I would get by going with the 65's. Like I said, Just my $.02 but hope it helps.
