Default Tire Paint

My new XLT Sport Package came with outdated raised white letter tires (Goodforayear Wranglers). Is there a good black tire paint I can paint these letters with and not have to be constantly touching them up?

I spray painted a tire once. I drove through a puddle of white paint with a set of brand new tires on. Needless to say I was pissed at myself. Fortunately only one tire got messed up. I had a can of Rustoleum High Heat flat black paint on the shelf so I just sprayed the white parts and it actually looked good.

New truck, new tires balanced from factory, nitrogen, would probably cost $80-$100, hate to mess with a good thing.

Lot's of people use Sharpie Paint Pens to color Raised White Lettering on tires. I have no experience with this.

I agree. Also why are raised white letter tires outdated? I guess that depends on your age. LOL I like them. Tried to get them in my KO2's but they don't offer then in the load rated tires.

I use forever black tire gel on all my vehicles, so I tried it on the white letters on my truck worked fine. I touch them up as needed. Tire Paint-image-2774508886.jpg Tire Paint-image-104629471.jpg

I took mine to DIscount tire to turn all 4 inside. They offered me the road hazard warranty for $15 a tire, it was going to already cost me $13 a tire to remount and balance. Seemed like a good deal and includes lifetime balance, they already do rotations for free.

Had them road force balanced as well.

I dont do nitrogen so have no idea what that cost if anything.
