You mean like your wife constantly curbing the car, hard (possibly also necessitating an alignment)? Or you hit a big pothole.

I have never needed to rebalance the Wildpeaks that have been on my truck for over 7 years now. No reason to rebalance unless/until you have out-of-balance tire symptoms.

These forums are loaded with obsessive/compulsive types with unlimited time and money to spend on nonsense. My tires are balanced when I buy them, and maybe later if one of them starts bouncing because it lost a weight. That's it, because that's all they need. Tires that wear evenly do not go out of balance.

could you make your point without making personal attack? Tires wear, by wearing they change their weight and size. Balance changes. Struts wear. Now if you are using beads, that’s different. What this boils down to is money for some of you. So again, you guys do you. So I guess you guys never adjust your pressures either! LOL!

Just a note to those who seem to be getting offended by others balancing their tires too often.

It’s part of Costco’s tire rotation, it’s free. They can rebalance them all they want. I really don’t care.

To each their own !! I ran commercial mileage & change my regular oil @ 3000 miles (5000 km).....I can get a oil change every i-2 weeks when running hard !!
Personally I don;t have the time to rebalance or rotate tires (unless needed) @ any time.....I remember 1 time while having an oil change @ 0ne of my local sources they rotated my ok balanced tires ....I picked up my trk @ 4pm & preceded down the road to find my tires grossly rubbling / vibrating @ 60mph....so had to stop & get a rebalance @ 5pm @ night....Not an easy thing to get done @ that time of day !! So for me if it's running fine I leave it alone & barely even rotate my tires maybe once a year ?? Try to get any service @ 3-5 pm @ night when you just got dispatchedt to be 300 + miles down the road by 6am the next morning !!

I own a shop and have access to tire machines every day, I even have a set of tire machines at home and I still don't balance unless there is a highway vibration or I have uneven wear patterns or both. One thing to keep in mind, if you have someone else balancing for you...it can easily be messed up, there is a bit of an art and experience is key. So if you're balancing just for maintenance and nothing is wrong, you have a chance of making it worse.

I'd be more concerned about the condition of the rubber on those 10 year old tires.
