Default Tint or replace BLIS tail lights?

Has anyone here had there BILS tail lights tinted? If so on the inside or outside? I hear there are place that will split the light and put the tint film on the inside. I am hoping if there are, some of you guys have pics, of either tinted or the newer Recon LED tail lights that are LIS compatible. I have a almost all blacked out FX4 and the tail lights just seem a bright red eye sore if I could mute it out somehow that would be great. Thanks for any info and pics again would be awesome.

You can do whatever you want to make your truck look the way you want.. But please if you do this don’t drive in front of me on a dark and rainy night..

I like to be seen at night. Hate it when i run up on some clown with tinted lights. Its like they are asking to be rear ended. Should fail any safety inspection.

Not looking to have them spray painted black, just put a tint to them to help with how they blend into the theme of the rest of the truck.

I plasti dipped mine but taped off the section of the light with the sensors. I used smoke plasti dip and glossifier on top. I wasnt looking to make them super dark just hated the white strip in the tail lights. This picture was right after they were finished but they actually darkened up quite a bit after drying overnight. I'll take some more pics tomorrow if you want to see them.

thank you, this is the kind of help I was looking for and I believe what the site is all about. Not sad soles who hate their life and think they need to bash people’s questions.

One lower priced option to get rid of the ugly white/chrome stripe are these Ebay taillights that Johnday turned me on to. They are plug and play on 15-17 trucks. For '18 up require the sockets be backdated to the older truck. They will work great without the supplied load resistor pack included. Without requires a minor Forscan change to eliminate fast blink.

Thanks for the mention Mike. Once I had those tails installed, I wanted just a slight tint. I used some light grey tint film, and @Dagojoe wrapped them for me. I'm terrible with wrapping, and the different surfaces made it impossible for me. Tails look a bit foggy in the 1st photo, but cleared up in a matter of days. No loss of visibility due to the LED tails.

Best I can do with photos right now. Had to copy and paste.
