Throttle Spacer - Any Good?
I see these throttle spacers available like this one: Airaid Throttle Spacer
(no association - just interest)
They advertise more performance, gas mileage, bla, bla, bla.
Question is,
Are they really any good?
How does it affect performance?
Anyone every try 'em?
(If I get a half-a-mile per gallon, it seems quite awhile until it's paid for...)

I think it goes back to putting a spacer under a carburetor, to add plenum volume and/or aid in the fuel air making the turn into the runners. Playing off an old trick that has nothing to do with port and direct injected engines.

Kind of worked back in the days of carburetors and TBI's, but not anymore.

2018 XLT FX4
Back when I knew nothing about TBS's other than the BS that AirRaid was spewing, I put one of these on my '03 Jeep Liberty with the 3.7L engine. It obviously didn't do squat, except it started making an extremely ear-piercing whistle after about 10K miles. It came off quickly after that!

Some guys have posted that the Air Raid spacer helped get rid of the 2018+ 5.0L intake whistle. Our 2018 has it, sounds similar to a high pitch turbo whistle - I've thought about installing one of these TBS's to get rid of the whistle.

specific to this question - on your F150 engine it won't do squat. In some older systems it would help, but not much.
