Default Thoughts on upgrading from a 2015 to 2018

I just bought my 2018 today, upgraded from a 302A to a 302A, only additions are the 10-speed, navigation, Sync 3, and Ruby Red now vs White. I had a couple of things that I noticed off the bat and I'm wondering if anyone else had similar issues/thoughts?
  • No auto-dim side mirrors like my 2015 had. Disappointed with this for sure.
  • Driver's mirror honestly seems to be off. It's almost as if the mirror is caving towards the center creating almost a "squish" effect. I'm very tired and working on 5 hours of sleep so I will check this in the morning but I just drove my 2015 before I jumped in my 2018 and so I have no idea if this is how the 2018s are supposed to be or if I literally have a bad piece of glass. Could that even be possible? Passenger's side is completely normal by the way.
  • Rear-view camera quality seems to be much less than the 2015. Anyone else notice this too?
  • Glove-box doesn't close-up/line-up properly without being forced closed. Normally closing it results in the right side being lined up but the left side has a gap nearly 1/2 wide on the left-hand side. Dealership is going to take care of this for me though.

If I could take back my 2015 same I would. I liked the 15 far better than the 18 and am highly disappointed in the 10 speed and lack of dimming mirror.

I had a 2016 501A (with some problems) and replaced it with a 2018 502A SE. Much happier with this truck... the 3.5EBgen2/10-speed combo is amazing. I don't like the auto-dim mirrors anyway, and I have trailer mirrors in the first place.

My cousin owns my 2015 and I drove it last month. Cannot say how much I miss it.

I loved our 2015 XLT but it didn't have the creature comforts like our 2018 Lariat. Life is better with dual zone control, heated & cooled, power passenger seat.

I upgraded from my 2015 XLT with a cayote to a 2018 XLT with 3.5 and couldn’t be happier. I loved my 2015 and thought it was the best truck I’d ever own. I wanted a couple of things different...

1. I’m a tech guy so I wanted CarPlay. Love it btw.
2. I wanted the center console instead of the column shift.
3. I wanted no chrome. Love the sport look better.
4. I didn’t know it till I drove it but after I did, I certainly wanted the 3.5 and 10 speed. My cayote was no slouch but that eco boost, Just wow...

No regrets on my side.

I did? Adding the 10-speed transmission, Sync 3 with CarPlay and Navigation, a faster/better engine, and brand new are all things that are considered upgrades. Thank you for linking the TSB, at first I thought you were giving me a hard time over it.

Dang, really? What do you miss most about it? What don't you like about your 2018?

Why don't you like the 10-speed? Care to elaborate more? I'm not a big fan of it at first, mainly because I loved the 6 and learned how to manipulate it, but I know my truck needs to break in and it's new to me. I'm sure I'll get used to it and know how to work it like I did the 6-speed in the 2015.

I went from a 16 XLT 302A to a 18 302A with sport package and noticed the non dimming mirror just the other day. The 10 speed is definitely different but i like it so far. No issues with the glove box on mine.
