Default Thoughts on grille modifications?

Hey all,

Was really considering the Torch style LED grille from T-Rex, but am considering another option. The raptor style grille I like, especially with the LEDs but really dislike the lettering. I would likely border the lettering and fill in everything with plaster and sand so that it'd basically look like the Roush-style grille. For the Raptor grille listed, once this modification was made I'd take it to Linex for added looks/protection.

Realistically, the light bar on the Torch wouldn't be used very much as I'm not off roading. If anything, the early mornings I'm out fishing before dark I could see myself using it but that's about it. Regardless, I'm sure we all can agree it's bad*****.

The more I think about it, it's looking like money might talk as there's at least a $1k difference between the two but wanted to get some other opinions before I start getting into plaster/sanding.

If the Raptor style did say Ford I'd choose that one.
But I do have to say, we can't all agree on the second. But I sure won't say anything bad about you or your truck for choosing it. Everyone has preferences and if that's what you like then choose it. I mean, the light bars are sweet when used responsibly.

I suppose it's all based on taste but can appreciate all feedback here. I personally don't like the DODD or the FORD (you can change out for the F and R). I dislike it so much as I mentioned I'd plaster everything to make it just look like a horizontal bar, sand it all down and have it Line-x'd. I could go either way here as the raptor has a sporty look while the bar brings out more of an inner hillbilly. Either way I'm going all black, no rivets. Just a matter if I want to actually customize the raptor grille and keep things sleek, or go with the LED bar and spend more. #torn

Really clean. I really like the way the amber light are set up with this grille. As for the Torch, I'd end up getting the Starkey kit which doesn't look as aggressive to me.

Honeycomb grilles are hard to keep clean. If I had to choose between the two, I would go with the T-Rex.

I actually hadn't even considered this. Thanks for the input here. T-rex might be the way from that aspect alone.

I think the bugs here would plug the lower grills screen

Haha, as opposed to getting through the honeycomb and clogging up the radiator screen?
